Diode laser energy is absorbed by melanin in the hair and converted into heat. This thermal action is directed towards follicular structures involved in hair growth, supporting reduced regrowth. Folris combines four wavelengths in one handpiece to address different hair profiles and root depths.

• 755 nm: High melanin absorption with shallow penetration for finer or lighter-coloured hair with less deeply positioned roots.
• 808 nm: Medium melanin absorption and deeper penetration than 755 nm for regular-thickness hair at an average root depth.
• 940 nm: Moderate melanin absorption with increased penetration for dark hair with relatively shallow roots.
• 1064 nm: Lower melanin absorption with the deepest penetration for deeply rooted dark hair.

Cooling Designed for Stable Operation

Cooling in Folris serves two distinct roles. The treatment head is specified to reach −16°C, helping manage heat at the treatment surface and support client comfort. Inside the cabinet, a 120 W thermoelectric refrigeration module, 5 L integrated water tank and 5 L/min circulation pump maintain the circulating water at approximately 20–25°C.

The internal water circuit supports stable system operation, while treatment-head cooling manages heat at the application surface. This thermal-management design supports up to eight hours of continuous operation, giving operators greater flexibility when planning an extended working day.
